World peace be damned! For Democrats, President Trump’s praise of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is so “embarrassing” it is unforgivable. “!Quick! Rip up the agreement!” they must be secretly thinking. Pelosi and other Democrats also criticized Trump for offering concessions in exchange for “vague promises” and no “clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation.”
“Nuclear nonproliferation is a pillar of America’s national security. We respect any serious and real diplomatic efforts to achieve that goal on the Korean peninsula,” Pelosi said in a statement just hours after the agreement. “Apparently, the President handed Kim Jong-un concessions in exchange for vague promises that do not approach a clear and comprehensive pathway to denuclearization and non-proliferation.
Other Democrats tried to play down Trump’s incredible victory for the world by playing up North Korea’s human rights violations.
Kim’s gulags, public executions, planned starvation, are legitimized on the world stage.
