Immediately after announcing a separation from eBay, Paypal has updated their user agreement that appears to assert a huge overreach, claiming that they will have copyright ownership over any intellectual property by those using their payment services.
Infowars states they are claiming copyright over the work you sell using their payment processor and you can read on page 2 this agreement does look exceedingly draconian. Could this represent something else? Hard to imagine that Paypal could make this claim and they certainly need to explain this officially.
MOVE TO PAGE 2:
They just lost tons of customers!
Error 404
Looks like I will not be using paypal AGAIN!
What intellectual property do you post or give to Paypal? None I can see.
You mean in order to be able to buy or sell? We’re about to find out.
What it means is that when you comment in their forums. You can’t sue them for using your comment, nor can you force them to remove the comment.
Except the terms you quote don’t say they own it, they say Paypal has a license to use. I hope you don’t have a surprise when you rent an apartment and think you bought a house.
THIS IS LIKE A TV STATION CLAIMING THEY OWN STAR WARS THE MOVIE FOR BROADCASTING IT
Then give them some nasty gay porn to own!
Never used, nor will ever use PayPal.
