What makes O’Reilly’s criticism of Obama particularly effective is that he acknowledges why someone like Obama would feel the need to defend Islam even people are using it to commit terror.
Comparing Obama’s response to Islamic terrorism to his own response to the Catholic Church’s pedophilia scandal, O’Reilly explains that while he had nothing but respect for ordinary Catholics, he didn’t let that respect prevent him from condemning their leaders who allowed priests to abuse young boys.
In contrast, Obama is so averse to saying anything about Islam that could even be vaguely construed as bad that he is unwilling to condemn the brand of it practiced by militants even when they use it to kill other Muslims.
