Miss Piggy and Kermit have been coerced into a show that is a far cry from its origin. The once family friendly, kid puppets are now going in full raunch mode, in the newly released ABC Muppet Show and One Million Moms will not remain silent.
An online petition to get the show cancelled states,
“The mature version of ‘The Muppets’ will cover a range of topics from sex to drugs. Miss Piggy came out as a pro-choice feminist during an MSNBC interview. The puppet characters loved by kids in the 1970s and 1980s and beyond are now weighing in on abortion and promiscuity,” says the petition.
The target group for the new Muppet Show is from 18-49 and ventures into themes that are not kid friendly, thus making the puppets not kid friendly either.
The updated Muppets series is filmed mockumentary-style, much like NBC hits 30 Rockand The Office, and is not the family-friendly variety show that original debuted in the 1970s.
Adults can watch what they want, but when Disney and ABC co-opt what was once a safe show for family viewing, anger will result and petitions will be signed.

I watched the new Muppets and don’t understand what all the fuss is about.
The muppets are what the name is freaking muppets this such a waste of million mom’s time and consideration and mine who ever boycott this needs to get a life and to find better things to pick a fight with
Like for instance the way our country is headed for if we keep heading down this path we are doomed
