The Democrats just never get tired of trying to promote gun control to gun owners and failing miserably. Of course, this is because many of them simply can’t relate to them, as was made painfully apparent this weekend.
Speaking at the NBC/Youtube Democratic debate on Sunday, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley defended his position on gun control by touting his relationship with gun owners. Attempting to defend his anti-Second Amendment record, O’Malley claimed that he’s, “never met a self-respecting deer hunter that needed an AR-15 to down a deer.”
Setting aside the unlikelihood of his claim that he regularly fraternizes with gun owners and deer hunters, O’Malley’s statement is stupefying. Yes, maybe deer hunters don’t need AR-15’s to shoot deer, but have you considered the possibility that maybe, just maybe, they need them to defend themselves?
To be fair, O’Malley, with his well-trained security escorts, probably doesn’t understand why anybody would need an AR-15 to protect themselves and their family. It should, however, keep him from opening his mouth on topics that he has little understanding of.

The second amendment isn’t about hunting! These liberals and anti-gun nerds are pushing an emotional agenda, not legal, logical, or reason. Criminals get guns illegally, not at gun shows, gun shops, or by legal means. This trip has nothing to do with crime, it’s about controlling the over 80 million gun owners who are the world’s largest standing army, with over 300 million arms and 2 trillion rounds of ammo in private hands. Now let’s go further shall we? With so many legal gun owners, and so few gun crimes by preponderance of volume versus statistical evidence dispite the media hype, gun ownership is not the issue, crime is the issue, and yet they are letting criminals out of jail early, including terrorist. Tell me again about how logical the liberal agenda is, tell me how reasonable trying to disarm law abiding citizens is. Tell me how trying to make my rights a privilege granted by government is freedom? Tell me how we went from the government being our servant, to us being subservient to them? Tell me how logical it is to let in hundreds of thousands of people who are following idealisms contrary to our constitutional laws is beneficial to our society? Tell me how it is that knowing by government statistics the average American family will have 2.5 children, and the average Muslim family have 7 to 9 children. How you see This countries continuation in the future and American values, by bringing in those who, within a short time will out number us? Reason, and logic tells me this is more of a long term take over plan, of destruction of our culture by design to convert us under an Islamic Sharia compliant Caliphate with a population unable to defend itself.
