Oklahoma legislators have just passed a bill which seems to follow the Obama pattern of ignoring established law and calling something by another name in order to gain some cover.
In this case, they passed a bill making it a felony for doctors to perform abortions. Abortion is clearly legal after the landmark (and duplicitous) Supreme Court decision Roe v Wade that in 1973 guaranteed a woman’s right to privacy under the 14th amendment, so it seems the route Oklahoma has taken is to make it a felony for a doctor to perform an abortion. That seems to stretch the concept, and will surely be challenged.

Here come the coat hangers again!
Damn! Too bad YOU weren’t aborted James
Makes me proud to live in Oklahoma!!! <3 <><
If this idiotic bill passes, Oklahoma will return to the times of back-alley abortions, causing maiming &/or death for mothers & children. Many mothers will try to abort at home, by ingesting home-made concoctions, with unknown consequences. Some mothers will try other ways. Foster homes, group homes & orphanages will be filled past capacity. Many women will go out of state, for abortions, taking their money with them. Oklahoma doctors will lose income, causing: less income to be generated back into the communties, employees to be laid off, less taxes to be paid. The economic “trickle effect” will continue. Oh! Btw, it’s unconstutional! How many more reasons must be given, that this bill is a bad idea & the idiot who thought of it, much less wrote it, has too much time on their hands?!
Why not just have the child and give it up for adoption. There are so many people that want a child, but cant have one.
Only Congress can make law, not the Supreme court.
I’m talking about the backlash that comes along for passing the law.
States are sovereign and are not under Federal control. Do your homework. The Supreme court cant make law, only Congress and it can’t go against the constitution.
How about you men start wearing rubbers?
And in cases of$#%&!@*or rape? That’s the woman’s responsibility too?
