Obama’s new distraction: His Billion-dollar Library

Newsmax reports that Obama’s will create a foundation that will focus on criminal justice reform and race relations, two items he has been so amazingly successful in improving during his presidency…NOT. He may also pursue diplomatic endeavors with Iran and Cuba, his two favorite tyrannical states.

“His focus is on finishing this job completely, thoroughly,” said Obama-confidante Valerie Jarrett

Oddly, the library, to be built on Chicago’s south side, will have an office for the president he likely will rarely use – and why would he go to the south side?

He has currently raised about $5 million towards the effort, about half of one percent of the lofty goal.

Obama pledged not to fund-raise for it until out of office, however as is typical, the Obamas held a dinner at the White House recently for potential donors, though donations were not actively solicited. And the fact that the president will self-focused as usual on his personal library elevates concerns of potential conflicts during his final months in office. What else is new?

Read all about it here.

“Is this a problem? Absolutely,” Meredith McGehee, policy director at the Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, told McClatchy’s Washington bureau. “Even if he doesn’t solicit himself, (donors) are seeing all kinds of signals that this is a priority for him. It’s all a wink and a nod. … It buys access.”
