Obama’s Half-brother Posts Image of ‘Kenyan Birth Certificate’

Back in 2009, a blogger named Lucas Smith tried to sell on eBay what he claimed was the real birth certificate of Barack Obama. This is the document Malik now claims is the real birth certificate.

At the time Smith offered the document for sale, eBay removed the page due to its policy prohibiting users from selling purported government documents.

The birth certificate in question lists Barack Hussein Obama of Kenya as the father and Stanley Ann Obama (nee’ Dunham) of Hawaii as the mother. The birth date shown, August 4, 1961, is President Obama’s real birthday.

Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa is listed as the site of the birth.

The sex of the baby is male, and the date of birth is listed as August 4, 1961, which is the former president’s genuine birthday.

The ‘document’ also lists the names of Obama’s parents, Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Obama (née Dunham).

The issue of Obama’s birth as well as his religion have been frequently discussed matters within right-wing circles and conspiracy theorists.

The unfounded rumors of Obama’s country of origin were largely meant to call into question the legitimacy of his presidency.

The US Constitution does not permit citizens who were born abroad to attain the presidency.

During Obama’s years in the White House, President Donald Trump frequently promoted the conspiracy theory alleging that Obama lied about being born in Hawaii.

When the alleged Kenyan document first surfaced in 2009, it was generally debunked as a forgery, just as Sheriff Arpaio has asserted the Hawaiian version the Obama White House released in 2011 to quell the controversy is falsified.

It’s clear this latest episode shows Malik’s current discontent with his relationship to his half-brother, whom he asserts did very little to help in Malik’s first and unsuccessful try in politics when he ran for governor of the southwestern county of Siaya in Kenya.

Overall, Malik contends that the former President doesn’t do enough to help his relatives in Kenya, given Barack Obama’s significant wealth and global connections.

The relationship between the two hasn’t always been this strained. Both men served as best man at each other’s wedding. Malik hosted Barack on a visit to Kenya in 1988.

During the past presidential election, Malik became an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump. He issued a series of tweets, with his avatar showing him wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Trump showed his appreciation by inviting Malik to be a guest at the October 19 presidential debate in Las Vegas. In the years prior to his presidential bid, Trump openly challenged Barack Obama’s claim of having been born in Hawaii. He later backed away from that position.

Although he’s a resident of Kenya, Malik also is a naturalized U.S. citizen. He founded and manages the Barack H. Obama Foundation, which honors the father the two men claim to share. He spends time in the United States each year doing consulting work.

As a sign of the growing feud between the two, Malik also has offered in interviews that Barack’s real father is Frank Marshall Davis, a well-known American communist who mentored the young Barack in Hawaii.

Some media have portrayed Malik as an opportunist who’s been known to ask to be paid for interviews.
