Obama continued to legitimize Islamic terrorists with an opt-ed published in the LA Times, stating that ISIS jihadists have ‘legitimate grievances’.
“More broadly, groups like al Qaeda and ISIL exploit the anger that festers when people feel that injustice and corruption leave them with no chance of improving their lives,” Obama wrote. “The world has to offer today’s youth something better.”
“Efforts to counter violent extremism will only succeed if citizens can address legitimate grievances through the democratic process and express themselves through strong civil societies,” he added. “Those efforts must be matched by economic, educational and entrepreneurial development so people have hope for a life of dignity.”
So all the beheadings, kidnapping, rape and various atrocities carried out by Islamic extremists for the last 1400 years was due to ‘legitimate grievances’?

If they were legitimate grievances and I don’t think they are legit, you don’t handle them in a way where you destroy property, kill and maim people, cut off their heads, burn people in cages, throw people off buildings and kill people and throw them in mass graves.
In their own countries I would agree they may have litigimate grievance. In the United States they do not have legitimate grievances. A foreign terrorist has no place in the United States. The United States can deal with homegrown terrorist but keep foreign terrorist out.
