President Obama stated Monday that he would support a 20% pay reduction for retiring military personnel as well as redefining benefits for those that leave before achieving 20 year of service. So it’s only a matter of time before these recommendations are realized.
Obama has been cutting natural born citizens out of the military while simultaneously hiring illegal immigrants. He has also been ending highly successful military programs and allowing different components the military to simply degrade, prompting the Washington Times to state that Obama has our decimated our military, leaving the US only ‘marginally able’ to defend itself.

Let’s cut the pay of Congress as well as their retirement and perks. These veterans deserve a lot more than we could ever pay them. They offer us their lives when they sign up and the president kicks them in the teeth. I certainly hope the next president does something about this.
This is why we don’t trust him. $$$ overseas, illegals, etc. But Veterans, Military get pay cuts!!! If you haven’t served, you have no idea what has been taken from us. Pres. Clinton signed into law that we have to pay for health insurance after it was promised to my husband – the reason his pay would be less than $1000 a month after 20 years – because he & our family would be getting free health care for life, commissary (grocery) store priviledges, etc.) !!! LIESLIESLIES…PAYING FOR HEALTH CARE, closing commissaries, VA hasn’t helped us, so we go to outside healthcare. The military veterans & our military shouldn’t have to worry about their small paychecks. The checks shouldnt be touched. I agree let’s all sign a pe$#%&!@*ion to end the unfair treatment & tactics to lower pay. DISGRACEFUL.

why not cut his pay and that of congress 20% or better yet 50%
The military is underpaid as it is , cut his pay and retirement as well as congress. They should serve because it’s s privilege not a money making rackett
cutting benefits to those who serve and protect while trying to increase benefits for those who demand much and earn little- welfare cheats, illegals, minimum wagers, and feel good-do little projects.
I loathe this BUT many lost their benefits in big business 🙁

If you’re going to cut benefits from veterans you are no exception Mr President. And we at it let’s cut benefits for senators and congressmen as well… or how about the people of the country fired them for not doing their jobs. After all it’s taxpayers dollars that are paying their salaries
