Even as Pope Francis flew back to Rome, President Obama immediately issued a stern warning to Christians, threatening them that their attempts to assert their religious liberty to oppose gay rights will fail.
“We affirm that we cherish our religious freedom and are profoundly respectful of religious traditions,” he falsely insisted during a dramatic speech at a LGTB fundraiser in New York City on Sunday night. He glowingly praising the progress made on gay rights under his administration. “But we also have to say clearly that our religious freedom doesn’t grant us the freedom to deny our fellow Americans their constitutional rights.”

Freedom of religion doesn’t empower you to force beliefs onto other folks, it protects others so they don’t have to participate in your beliefs and choose anything they wish. And the thx to the constitution the beliefs you have are as important as any liberty including gay marriage. However, the individual liberties of all citizens trump the fact your feelings might get hurt. This is called freedom folks.

Preachers can’t be prosecuted for preaching that homosexuality is a sin.

Tommie – People have the right to pratice their LGBT life style. It is also the right of the religious to have their views on the matter no matter what you or I may say. If a person doesn’t want to bake a cake they should not be compelled by government to have to bake that cake. Gays can go somewhere else to have that cake baked. The religious person is losing customers but it is their right. It seems that it is YOU that needs to mind their opwn business. Take your business elsewhere if you don’t like it. Simple concept but it seems very hard for your ilk to understand.
