Obama Pushes Congress To Ratify UN Gun Control Treaty

Ever the globalist, Obama has turned to the United Nations to help implement some of his most coveted gun control measures in the form of the organization’s Arms Trade Treaty. The treaty, which was signed by Secretary of State John Kerry back in 2013, commits the US to the UN’s plan to require signatory nations to maintain “national control systems” for firearms. In short, it mandates that governments around the world create the kind of gun registries envisioned by Obama and his fellow supporters.

There’s one problem with Obama’s scheme though: it’s completely illegal. Not only does the Constitution explicitly guarantee Americans the right to bear arms, but the Senate has yet to vote on the treaty, meaning that it is not legally-binding in the eyes of the US.
