Obama: Police Must Admit Their Failures if They Want to Stop Being Killed

Barack Obama is once again criticizing law enforcement in the wake of 9 officer deaths in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Now, he’s claiming that the police won’t stop being murdered until they admit that they are the problem. This is what he said:

“There are legitimate issues that have been raised, and there’s data and evidence to back up the concerns that are being expressed by these protesters.

And if police organizations and departments acknowledge that there’s a problem and there’s an issue, then that, too, is going to contribute to real solutions. And, as I said yesterday, that is what’s going to ultimately help make the job of being a cop a lot safer.”

The issue isn’t with the police. It has been proven many times that the number of black men shot by the police is proportional to the number of crimes that they commit.  The issue is — and has been — the rhetoric of Black Lives Matter and their supporters.
