Obama To Migrants: You Do Not Have To Assimilate

Our federal law — and American reality — contradicts Obama’s progressive-style denial of Americans’ sophisticated, evolved and unique society, and it spurns his balkanization efforts towards a chaotically diverse “nation of immigrants” devoid of any unique and shared loyalties and obligations.

Obama’s pitch ignores every element of pride in the nation and every obligation of American citizenship.

The American citizenship oath makes some of those obligations crystal clear. The oath requires new citizens to be ready to fight for their new nation, according to the most recent version of the oath, set in law during 1952:

I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

By the way, Mr. Obama, America is not a nation of immigrants. Seven out of every eight people — or roughly 265 million — living in the United States were born and raised here. No, they are not anchor babies, either.
