Obama Makes Subtle Jab at Trump During UN Speech

The president’s speech was filled with finger-pointing and whining about not just Donald Trump, but republicans in general. He claimed that people on the right are exploiting fears through appeals to sectarianism, or tribalism, or racism. Wait a second, that sounds backwards, considering that the entire foundation of the Obama Administration is built upon exactly that.

“[W]e, the nations of the world, cannot return to the old ways of conflict and coercion. We cannot look backwards,” he said. “We live in an integrated world — one in which we all have a stake in each other’s success.”

Obama has pointedly denounced Trump’s rhetoric in recent days as the billionaire candidate continues to lead in the polls.

During an education event in Iowa earlier this month, Obama denounced Republican rhetoric on enforcing immigration laws as “un-American” and “anti-immigrant.”

“This whole anti-immigrant sentiment that’s out there in our politics right now is contrary to who we are,” he said.

“Because unless you’re Native American, your family came from someplace else.”

White House aides have dismissed Trump’s supporters as racist, while Vice President Joe Biden blasted Trump for expressing “xenophobia” in his “sick message.”

Liberals are great at placing their own faults on the shoulders of others. Nowhere in Donald Trump’s campaign has he ever said that he’s anti-immigrant. He just feels that if they’re going to be here, they should go through a legal process to become citizens. The fact that the Obama Administration is against that, proves how little American law means to them.
