Instead of making an official statement or otherwise addressing the matter, Obama continued to spend time with his family in the tropical locale they were staying in. They took in a luau at the home of Richard Titcomb, one of Obama’s old high school chums, even as news of the disaster currently unfolding in the Midwest spread.
This inconsiderate, inappropriate behavior on the part of President Obama proves exactly why he is unfit for office and why we need to elect a real leader next year.
Obama’s silence over the record-setting flooding in the Midwestern United States is especially jarring given the speed with which he addressed incidents like the shooting at Sandy Hook and Umpqua, Oregon. Guess he realized speaking about the floods would do nothing to advance his agenda, so he decided to stick to his vacation plans.
