Democrats have long been the party of optics over action. More than wanting to help, Democrats want to appear to help.
For that reason, its surprising that Donald Trump — not Clinton or Obama — was the one on the ground helping Louisiana flood victims recover from the worst natural disaster the country has seen in years.
Then again, Louisiana is a solid red state. Hillary isn’t going to win any electoral votes there, so she likely doesn’t care.
