Barack Obama is once again circumventing the legislative process in order to push his administration’s unpopular leftist agenda. First, it was illegal immigration, then transgender bathrooms. This time, it’s guns.
Earlier this year, the White House announced new policies for those receiving social security benefits in conjunction with the president’s January 5th executive order on gun ownership. When it was released, few seemed to notice that the order allowed the administration to withhold Second Amendment rights from those who collect social security.
The move makes little logical sense. Social Security beneficiaries have never proven themselves as particularly violent or incapable of gun ownership. Instead, it seems as if this is part of Obama’s larger plan to slowly and surreptitiously restrict gun ownership whenever and wherever possible.
The administration was likely hoping that this slow creep of new regulations would go unnoticed until it was too late to be repealed. Fortunately, the watchful eyes of conservative media caught them in the act.

Chris Nance your right they should! The problem is the trend of no family values, respect for elders. Everyone seems to be out for themselves. I’m one of the lucky ones that was raised with “yes sir, yes ma’am, please, thank you, and may I” asking for clarification or to state my case was more than welcome as long as it was done in a respectful manner. And you if I got out of line I’d be spanked. And as a result of those spankings when they were necessary because of my actions I I suffer from a condition no disrespect for others and myself and I’m grateful for it if more parents will less afraid of their children there would be more Family Values that’s what our country needs most Core Family Values for without strong family values how can we be a strong Nation that’s just my opinion

Edward Robb, I love your faith in what government promises to do. I fear I’ve been disappointed too many times to do so. If SS has been paid back in full by 2020, I will most assuredly apologize AND be over the MOON with joy, but so, also will I be shocked. Anything related to government hasn’t shocked me in a good way in many many years.
So those who earned and were forced under law to “invest” now collect on their “investment” and they are punished , while those collect without earning are rewarded. Sounds like socialism to me!!

Taxes are one thing…but when you have social security that is actually money you earned that goes into an account specifically for your retirement…by my working for it..as you can see anyone whether they are legal or not..never worked or for any reason..like generational family welfare that money is taken from working ..tax paying workers…like it or not…to people who don’t deserve it…it was a program intended during the war to help woman and children..get on their feet.now it is a program to entitled lazy..don’t want to work…don’t want to be educated…don’t even want.to bother to be legal citizen of the USA but I will live off your citizen and give you my vote as long as you keep that check comingb to me and my family for generations to come government buying voters vote program…and I will never need food stamps. I have my own garden….cattle..chickens.fields and family that works together to provide all of us what we need….I go to a store maybe six times in a year…I can all my fruit and veggies our family raises the beef…chicken and fish that we all share in……I dont need or Will ever need government assistance which is another word for control……
Sheer fantasy. I receive (“collect”) Social Security retirement benefits. I received no notice of this. In fact, I don’t know what “this” is, because the story never does say what Obama supposedly did.
All he has to do is come get our firearms an he will see what’s really up with the people
