Barack Obama is once again circumventing the legislative process in order to push his administration’s unpopular leftist agenda. First, it was illegal immigration, then transgender bathrooms. This time, it’s guns.
Earlier this year, the White House announced new policies for those receiving social security benefits in conjunction with the president’s January 5th executive order on gun ownership. When it was released, few seemed to notice that the order allowed the administration to withhold Second Amendment rights from those who collect social security.
The move makes little logical sense. Social Security beneficiaries have never proven themselves as particularly violent or incapable of gun ownership. Instead, it seems as if this is part of Obama’s larger plan to slowly and surreptitiously restrict gun ownership whenever and wherever possible.
The administration was likely hoping that this slow creep of new regulations would go unnoticed until it was too late to be repealed. Fortunately, the watchful eyes of conservative media caught them in the act.

no respect for this idiot at all
I’m really not worried. Been stocking up on ammo for when the$#%&!@*hits the fan.
This is funny, coming from a “truth in action” webpage. What the executive order actually did was allow the backroad check database and the SS data base to share data. Why? So that those on SS that are say, diagnosed with a mental disease, who would already be in-eligible under current laws to purchase a gun, could make that information available to the background check database.
and a complete lie. You’re all sheep, some have baked webpage writes a complete lie and you all pass judgement without taking 5 minutes to do research. This is way our country is in self destruction mode. Uneducated ideologues who read anything that bad mouths and demonizes the other side and you eat it up like popcorn at a movie.
Don’t be fooled people

He’s just pandering. To whom? To those hysteria-driven blouse-clutchers who bleat, “I’m afraid of guns, so I don’t want *you* to have one.” How? Well, he’ll smirk as he says how he has made America safer by keeping guns out of the hands of “dangerous” people. How dangerous? Well, their Social Security is in someone else’s care. Without saying so, he deems them “dangerous” because they can’t balance a checkbook.
Any ol’ hook to hang the “You can’t have a gun” hat on. Shucks, there are lots of “dangerous” people. How about someone who’s had an unpleasant divorce? How about someone who’s had a speeding ticket? Hey, if we can’t trust you with a 4,000 pound car, how can we trust you with a gun? How about anyone who’s ever been disgruntled in an HR decision?
Yep, if you can get away with keeping a gun from someone who has trouble balancing a checkbook, you can expand that “dangerous” label to a whole lot of people. All in the name of Transforming America, one bizarre perversion at a time.
When they don’t provide an order number you can bet it’s bull.
He does not have the authority to take away a constitutional right.
