Barack Obama is once again circumventing the legislative process in order to push his administration’s unpopular leftist agenda. First, it was illegal immigration, then transgender bathrooms. This time, it’s guns.
Earlier this year, the White House announced new policies for those receiving social security benefits in conjunction with the president’s January 5th executive order on gun ownership. When it was released, few seemed to notice that the order allowed the administration to withhold Second Amendment rights from those who collect social security.
The move makes little logical sense. Social Security beneficiaries have never proven themselves as particularly violent or incapable of gun ownership. Instead, it seems as if this is part of Obama’s larger plan to slowly and surreptitiously restrict gun ownership whenever and wherever possible.
The administration was likely hoping that this slow creep of new regulations would go unnoticed until it was too late to be repealed. Fortunately, the watchful eyes of conservative media caught them in the act.

I hate Obama, but this Article is Misleading. SS can only suspend 2 amendment rights to those deemed by a Court or MD unable to manage their money due to incapacity. And, there is an Appeals process to which a person may challenge it. Half truths are lies by deception.

His Executive Orders don’t mean$#%&!@* The 2nd Amendment still stands and is backed up the 9th &10th Amendments. His Executive Orders will only be followed by those who don’t their guns. they have been trying to set the stage for a mild form of voluntary admission of incompetance by seniors for a few years now, every time i get any paper work from social security, the V.A. or an insurance company or bank there is always a form included that asks if you want to “assign a surrigate” to be responsible for my business with them. they try to make it look like their doing you a favor but anyone who would sign a form like that would probably be deemed unfit to handle firearms in a flash. the VA used to ask at every visit if i owned guns, but they have dropped that recently (someone must have bitched about it loud enough) their pretty sneaky but us old farts are pretty sly too.
Keep in mind the order has no legal basis and therefore is toilet paper.
