The lower pay increase translates to a Pay Grade E-4 (Corporal, Petty Officer 3d Class, Specialist 4, Senior Airman) with less than three years in service will earn less than $3.00 an hour. Under the 2016 pay scale, a Pay Grade E-1 undergoing recruit training will be paid roughly $2.15 an hour.

If the president is the commander and chief of the armed forces, and he’s cutting military pay. Why is he not cutting his own pay. If he is there high up boss, his pay should be cut too.

Monique I spent 25 years in the military from E-3 up to O-4, I am fully aware of military pay and benefits both from an active duty side as well as reserve. You can complain there not good enough, but on the enlisted side, very few high school grads will earn what a E-5 would after 6 years in the military. Not to mention the 20 year retirement.
