While shouting that the minimum wage for illegal aliens working at McDonalds should be $15. an hour, President Obama used a loophole in the US Code deter a pay raise to the military. The lower pay increase translates to a Pay Grade E-4 (Corporal, Petty Officer 3d Class, Specialist 4, Senior Airman) with less than three years in service will earn less than $3.00 an hour. Under the 2016 pay scale, a Pay Grade E-1 undergoing recruit training will be paid roughly $2.15 an hour.
Read those miniscule numbers again and then go to the next page for more.

RIDICULOUS AND RAISES HIS OWN????
The corrupt, lawless liar still needs to be Impeached or arrested!
You really should do some research. An E1 makes $1556 per month, and all E1s advance to E2 ar 6 months of service. There’s been a pay raise of a minimum of $10 per year over the last 5 years. My proof: http://www.dfas.mil/militarymembers/payentitlements/military-pay-charts.html
Of course he needs to spend more on his self,
Are we shocked
This is actually very misleading in the verbiage being used. In actuality, military pay has increased every year since 1984. 2016 will be no different for ALL ranks – a small percentage pay raise that generally only just accounts for inflation.
The dollar/hour amount in the article was calculated by:
yearly income / 365 days a year / 24 hours in a day
That is not how ANYONE calculates a salary wage. I’m not saying the pay is great, and yes, the military does work more than the 40hrs/week average, but it is very manipulative to use data in that manner. Especially when it does not take into account meal cards, BAH, COLA, clothing, etc.

If you take the salary of a E1, divided by 2080 = $8.30 an hour. Someone flipping burgers does not deserve more than someone in the military.
Timothy, the average pay in the U.S. is calculated on an eight hour day and may include time and a half to double time for overtime. Military personnel are on duty 24/7 365 days a year even on leave and holidays. Time off has to be requested and granted based on specific needs of the government and the military member. Even then a military member is subject to immediate recall. As far as the other supplemental incomes go, when included in the pay and divided by the 8,760 hours a year military personnel are on duty, military pay is still below minimum wage. I will give credence to your opinion when the civilian world starts working in the same way military personnel are required to work, including living in combat zones under constant threat of a violent death (i.e. be on duty at their place of work.
Take his 18% raise in2017 & give it to the military.
And he wants an 18% increase in his retirement pay!!!!! Dipshit
This is reprehensible, absolutely !
