Due to the budget cuts imposed by Obama the Army will fire 500 majors, which began at the end of last year.
“Many of the 1,100 captains who were cut earlier this month were serving in Afghanistan and “the same thing probably will happen with some of these majors,” stated Gen. John F. Campbell, who will soon take command of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.

2017″ to an Army force of about 450,000, the Army statement said.” – CONGRESS CUT THE BUDGET. DO YOU FOOLS KNOW WHO CONTROLS CONGRESS? Also we should be scaling back our military. We were fighting two major conflicts and now we are not. Why would we need to keep our military at the strength and size to fight 2 wars if not needed?

I have. Our military is in good shape, in fact, as always, the best in the world. What is “cut” isn’t what we need anymore, it is outdated. The same thing happens in car factories, oil fields etc.

As the saying goes “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it!” Doesn’t ANYONE in Washington remember their history? EVERY time the USA reduces it’s military capabilities, we end up in some kind of major conflict that we barely are able to deal with at the time.
Having a strong military wouldn’t be such a financial burden if we weren’t spending billions of dollars on redundant programs, government waste, corruption etc etc.
It’s time time to reorganize and streamline our government!
