It’s absolutely amazing the stuff Barack Obama gets away with. Could you imagine what would happen to a Republican if he uttered something like this?
David Axelrod tells us that during a point where Obama became exacerbated over all the accusations thrown at him for being anti-Israel, Obama made claims that seem to be quite delusional.
US/Israel relations are at the lowest point in decades, but of course that point is lost on Obama, who only sees in himself what he wants to see.

The occupied territory is not Israel’s land. Right now, it is nobody’s land — Israel occupies it because the Ottomans lost WW 1, the British gave up and no other Great Power will keep the peace. The two (or probably three) state solution is part of the end of the mandate — and while one can be sympathetic to the Israeli occupation of necessity, no the land is not theirs…any more than Spanish Sahara belongs to Morocco (it doesn’t even though Morocco occupies it). The territory is to be part of a final settlement — where any areas desired by Israel are to be compensated for by equivalent plots of land to the Arab side.
People have to understand that there were perhaps 200,000 people in the entire Mandate in 1920…it was considered “junk” land…and now in Gaza, Israel and West Bank there are 11 million people….1.5 million in Gaza alone. This is both amazing in terms of technology…and maddening because there are just too many people for the resources.
