Obama Admin Warns Americans Against Associating Islam with Ohio State Attack

Mr. Obama is an unashamed apologist for the Muslim faith.  His personal religious beliefs are his business, but enforcing the laws of this nation are also his business.  If there is a particular ideology or belief system that is common to a series of violent crimes, then that needs to be addressed.

When it comes to violence that happens to be committed by Muslims, Obama wishes to give them a pass.  Or at least deny that radical Islamist teachings might have informed the perpetrator’s actions.  In so doing, he’s making matters worse, and is derelict in his responsibilities.

America does not persecute people for their religious faith.  To do so would be to violate the First Amendment.  However, violent crimes are not constitutionally protected activities, and if a pattern of crimes have a common thread, it needs to be followed — for the protection of people of all faiths, or no faith at all.  Criminals must understand that they cannot stand under the umbrella of some religion as a means of gaining immunity from prosecution for acts of violence.

So it is deeply troubling to see Obama pursue his typical response to the attack at Ohio State.

The Obama administration is warning Americans not to cast blame on Muslims after a student at Ohio State University launched an attack on innocent civilians that was likely inspired by Islamic State terrorists.

“Our response to this situation matters,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest explained to reporters during the press briefing. “If we respond to this situation by casting aspersions on millions of people that adhere to a particular religion or if we increase our suspicion of people who practice a particular religion, we are more likely going to contribute to acts of violence than we are to prevent them.”

This is the standard Obama script that is rehearsed for public consumption each time such an incident occurs.

While Obama wants to take the discussion of Islam off the table once again, note that law enforcement suspects a connection to ISIS.

The attacker posted a message on Facebook that law enforcement officials have released to the public.

“By Allah, we will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims. You will not celebrate or enjoy any holiday,” he wrote before the attack. “Btw, every single Muslim who disapproves of my actions is a sleeper cell, waiting for a signal. I am warning you Oh America.”

On Tuesday, the ISIS news agency Amaq claimed the attacker was “a soldier of God,” according to the New Yorker, and might have been inspired by the Islamic State’s terrorist manual.

Look, the attacker himself admitted he was influenced by Muslim teachings.  An ISIS mouthpiece acknowledged the possibility that he was inspired by their terrorist manual.

So what’s wrong with this picture?  ISIS claims the attacker acted consistent with its terrorist manual.  The attacker himself posted on Facebook that Islamist doctrine influenced him.  Then add to that the comments from the Obama Administration.

Sorry, Mr. Obama, you are wrong again.  And your administration does no service to the people of the country that federal and other law enforcement agencies are to protect by lying about what is motivating the perpetrators of violent acts such as the attacker at Ohio State.

We eagerly await the inauguration of a new president.
