Obama Admin Threatens to Cut off NC from Federal Money over Bathroom Law

Once again, the Obama administration is circumventing the law in order to push their leftist agenda.

North Carolina’s “bathroom bill” became one of the nation’s most controversial laws when it was signed this March. The law — which mandates the use of restrooms that correspond with one’s sex — was seen by many on the right as a commonsense piece of legislation that put on the books a rule that has existed for centuries. To the left, however, it was an outrageous attack on LGBT rights at the hands of a bigoted Republican state government.

While many liberal activists denounced the bill at signing, few seemed to believe that it’s existence was illegal. The reason for this is obvious, at no point in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, is transgender listed as a protected class. While sex is deemed protected by the landmark piece of legislation, the left will be the first to tell you that there is no correlation between sex and sexual identity.

Of course, none of this matters to Obama or his White House. Their leftist beliefs guide the policies of the administration, and the law is just a pesky nuisance they must overcome in order to push their agenda.

As such, the Justice Department is moving forward with their plans to deny general funding to North Carolina until they bend to the liberal will of the Obama’s government.
