Did you know that there is a “1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act?” Probably not, but then when one considers the volume of legislation created just at the federal level — legislation that remains in force, the normal reaction would be one of astonishment, of being utterly overwhelmed, of one’s eyes just glazing over. No wonder congressmen and senators have no idea what they’re voting on much of the time.
Anyway, apparently we have a crisis of excess horses and burrows running wild in western states. Enter the Bureau of Land Management and a dispute they have with the Humane Society of the United States.
Here’s the crisis in a nutshell for your consideration.
Adopt them out instead of killing them. If they must go just don’t MURDER THOSE GORGEOUS CREATURES!!!!!
Here’s the part I think is funny. First, the complete morons who say (in one breath) that these are not native species… then go on to say how the horses are causing damage that effect the cattle herds. For those people… you are truely stupid.
Next, those who say these horses are over populated and say they have over run thier habitats ability to sustain them… seriously? There is habitat that sustained about 2 million buffalo. There are no where near the numbers of wild horses as there were buffalo. The problem is these horses are contained to small areas of range for the convinience of the ranchers.
Lastly… many of these horses ARE NOT “diseased” etc… they are captured and held for years and now that they are inconvinient they are just going to be slaughtered.
Its being done to allow cattle ranchers to free range beef on federal land
How dare you blame President Obama for this. He has nothing to do with it. Blame the BLM OR BETTER KNOWN AS BLOOD, LIES & MURDER

They aren’t native and they truly can cause devastating effects on mother nature. Bad situation, but understandable.
They arent supposed to be here to begin with. No natural predators. Educate yourself first please.
