An opt-ed in the New York Times this month calls for increasing the importation of Syrian Muslims from the current level of 1,000 a month, or 12,000 per year, up to 50,000 in order to save Detroit. We certainly expected that the original 1000/month figure would be greatly increased when the first ran the story of the State Dept. bringing in these ‘refugees.’
