At a recent event promoting non-violence in Greensboro North Carolina residents were encouraged to turn in their guns and sign a pledge stating that they will abide by the principles of non-violence.
The Greensboro Police Department was working overtime during the event as they collected guns from resident’s age 18 years and older who freely turned their unloaded and cleaned firearms which included many shotguns, handguns, rifles and ammunition.
Many residents visited Destiny Christian Center for the non-violence event and the Police reported that well over 1,000 residents turned in their guns plus signed the non-violence pledge in exchange for a small gift.
Greensboro North Carolina has seen its share of gun violence in recent years but will non-violence actually solve the problem of gun violence and aggravated assaults since the average criminal won’t turn in their guns?

is the NC police going togive up their guns. answer no. i will not give up my guns to no police officer unless or maybe he can guartee my family safety even while we are in town. well i already know theanswer. it is no. when i go some where i do have a weapon and i will use it even if it means taking alife. here is a warning: do not do the following: approach my car from the rear with your hand on a gun, do not reach in my car for no reason, just because you are a policeman that don’t mean jack. youmight look or wear a policeman uniform but that so call uniform won’t stop a shot to the head where the vest is not at. stay at least 3 feet from my car. if you give me an attitude then you will get one back. oh yeah, one more thing to let you know is this anyone and i mean anyone approaches my car will be on a camera with a pic and voice recorder. i will ask you first not to get to close and advise you you what will happen if you make my family and I feel unsafe. it will be all recoreded for the judge to see. i don’t like surprises just as much as you do. so think before you act in which come save your life. some police are not so good so this is the reason i wrote this. it is my choice. when i decide to do something my mind is made up and all your bs won’t help you. to solve the situation with me is to talk to me from a distance without your hand on your gun & that goes for your partner.. you be surprise what a citzen can carry in their car. so beware and relax while approaching a car from behind.
They need to tell them NO and I agree, recall their chief of police…
