Tragedy has struck in a hometown ten miles from me, as 14 lives were snuffed out by evil, and yet the liberal press adds insult to injury in on the front page of The NY Daily News “God Isn’t Fixing This.”
Mocking those Republican politicians who get the reality of the situation and offer the only lasting form of help they can give, prayer for the victims to the God who is greater than the evil who perpetrated this heinous slaughter, is beyond the pale.
Cruz tweeted, “Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and the first responders in San Bernardino who willingly go into harm’s way to save others.” Christie tweeted, “Praying for all those victimized by the shootings in San Bernardino, California today..” Bush tweeted, “Praying for the victims, their families & the San Bernardino first responders in the wake of this tragic shooting.” Carson tweeted, “My thoughts and prayers are with the shooting victims and their families in San Bernardino.” And Trump tweeted, “California shooting looks very bad. Good luck to law enforcement and God bless. This is when our police are so appreciated!”
The left’s desire to be god, in the form of government, covets control of all things at the expense of the very people they claim to care about. Yet this front page add goes to the heart of the liberal poison, showing that they believe more control will create some kind of American utopia, in the name of state and socialism. Sadly, these same people would more than like cry out in the their moment of terror, when faced with a life and death situation, screaming, “Oh God, save me!” while they mock those who live daily believing in a Reality outside of self. Those who truly serve others in the most effective manner are those praying for the hurting, when nothing else can actually help.
Gun control cannot bring healing. Only God can.
