New House Bill to End “Corporate Welfare” for the NFL

President Donald Trump minces no words when it comes to his opinions about [name a subject].  I have come to the conclusion over the past year that Trump suffers from short-term memory loss, like Dory in “Finding Nemo.”  The reason why Donald Trump is so very successful in angering the Left to the point of them placing shards of glass up against their jugular and threatening, “I’ll cut myself if he doesn’t take that back!!” is precisely because the moment he says something they consider reprehensible or (in the words of dainty Jim Acosta of CNN) force people “in this town to hold their breath,” he forgets it.

It can’t be any more complicated than that.  Trump sends out a tweet while smirking and tapping his phone, posts it, and then laughs at the joke that one of his generals was telling him across the dinner table.  He simply types, posts, and forgets.  While the Leftists are losing it and jumping off the roofs of buildings in protest to his most recent statement, Trump is asking his staff how many votes they’re looking at on tax cuts.  Or he’s wondering what the stock market is doing.  Or he wants to know what the job numbers look like.

You see, the point is that Trump is moving at the speed of an ethereal being who isn’t confined by walls, storm fronts, or peoples’ opinions.  He goes on no matter what the Fake News Industrial Complex (FNIC) is writing about him.  And that, my friends, is what infuriates them most about this president.

Not having the time nor the inclination to really care that Acosta is fanning himself with a hand in exasperation at the latest insult, Trump continues to worry what is happening in Puerto Rico with the recovery efforts.

When the NFL began this protesting, he made a gut reaction to the news and it set off a firestorm of protests to his statements.  One thing you can always count on with Trump.  You hit him, he hits back.  No matter the political ramifications.  When Trump saw the poll numbers (actual real poll numbers, not the FNIC polls) that showed that he was on the right side of the issue, that a plurality of the American people were fed up with their favorite sport being taken over by Black Lives Matter and cop-hating and disrespect for the American flag and the National Anthem, he decided enough was enough on this fake controversy and tweeted…

This then, of course through necessity of the Left having to feign outrage and victimhood, began a whole new set of narratives that questioned the authority of the president and whether him threatening blackmail to the NFL was legal.  The real question should have been is it legal for the NFL to enjoy such wide-ranging tax breaks when they are giving a big middle finger or raised fist to the country and the flag.

Needless to say, a few loyal Americans in Congress decided that this was a valid question.  US Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) sat down for an interview on One America News (OAN) to talk about a bill he has introduced to the floor of the House that will cut tax subsidies to professional sports organizations.  Referring to these subsidies as “corporate welfare at its worst,” the lawmaker was emphatic when he spoke about how small mom and pop businesses in his district in Florida, as well as veteran-owned businesses, were not offered these same lucrative tax subsidies, yet multi-million dollar corporations like the NFL not only expected these breaks, but spit in the face of the taxpayers who paid them out of their own pockets.

According to this broadcast, the public (you and me) pay 70% of the costs of NFL stadiums!  Let that soak in.  Is it really any wonder that they can afford to pay these athletes millions and millions to play a game!

Think about this for a moment as well.  Athletes are being rewarded for their unpatriotic behavior with millions of dollars, YET OUR SOLDIERS ON ACTIVE DUTY IN WARTORN AREAS OF THE WORLD WHO ARE PROTECTING US ALLIES AND INTERESTS ABROARD, WHO ARE FACING REAL LIFE ENEMY FIRE, ARE BEING PAID A PITTANCE OF WHAT THESE OVER-FED, WHINY, PRIVILEGED CHILDREN ARE IN THE NFL.

That is the travesty here that the FNIC won’t talk about and you will never see that comparison on the nightly news.  I support this move to introduce this bill and so should you.
