Paul it’s really very simple but let me say that I completely understand that people don’t get how this happened because it’s something that nobody has ever seen before and if you don’t know structural design and construction methods of a building like this then it confusing to people. I’m going to try and give you a simple short explanation of what happened. It is incorporated into the structural design of all skyscrapers to collapse into their own footprint in case of a catastrophic failure of the structural integrity of the building such as being hit by an aircraft or a large fire that would weaken the integrity of the structure. As the towers collapsed they fell as it was designed to do. As the debris fell they hit building 7 and a fire started in the building. The structure of that building was compromised by the debris and the fire. As it heated the floor truss system it began to pull the steel columns inward once that happened it could no longer support the weight of the building above. The same thing applies to the twin towers. The explosions that people heard is a simple thing called electricity. If you were to cut all three electric wires going to your house you would get an idea of the power of electricity. Now imagine the power that it takes to run a skyscraper compared to your house. When you turn the power on in your house you simply flip a breaker. If you simply flipped the main electrical switch in those buildings well to put it in simple terms it would blow your body to pieces and kill you. When you turn those panels on you are in a full electrical flash suit and you stand behind a shield and use a forty foot nonconductive pole. As the buildings fell it cut the electrical cables and smashed the switch gear and they exploded. There were numerous pieces of switch gear transformers throughout those buildings. So that’s the simple short explanation I could give you a very long one also. A lot of people think these buildings were built like some kind of fortress but they aren’t. In fact a lot of the structural members are pretty lightweight in a sense I am going to post a picture of the floor truss system used in those buildings and you will see what I mean.
