Paul you are completely wrong on that they tried to figure what the impact of a 707 might have on the towers. Do to thousand of variables it was impossible to calculate that into the design so they figured the 80th floor was the most likely place a jet might strike it. At that time that was the top floor of the building. After that they add the other floors into the design to get the required space in the buildings. The buildings were not built to withstand the impact af aircraft period
