NBC: DWB Claims US Shot People Fleeing Hospital, Ex-CIA Places Blame on DWB

While people were fleeing from the bombed out Doctors Without Borders hospital, they were being shot at by the circling planes.  This was reported on Thursday by the organization who is calling for a war crimes investigation.

After the U.S. gave shifting explanations for the incident — which Doctors Without Borders has called a war crime — President Barack Obama apologized to the charity. The charity, also known as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is calling for an international inquiry.

Certainly more that an apology is in order as one reads the description of that horrific day.

“Thirty of our patients and medical staff died [in the bombing],” the organization’s General Director Christopher Stokes said during a speech in Kabul. “Some of them lost their limbs and were decapitated in the explosions. Others were shot by the circling gunship while fleeing the burning building.”

If our Commander in Chief has only an apology with no plan of action to determine the truth, then the blood is on his hands and he should be held responsible.  Sadly, he should be held responsible for many awful things that have occurred on his watch, yet there seems to be no chutzpah to make that happen.

On Thursday, Fox News host Shepard Smith invited an ex-CIA covert officer, Joshua Katz, on to his program to discuss the deadly airstrikes.

It didn’t take long for the clash between Smith and Katz to start.

Katz stated: “We have Doctors Without Borders who in all cases are actually providing material support to terrorists. They have knowingly and willingly admitted.”

Smith was startled by the comment, and quickly said: “Excuse me?”

Katz then said: “Doctors Without Borders here, Shep, has said that they have provided support to the Taliban.”

Smith began to argue back: “Oh hang on. What doctors do is treat the wounded in war zones since time began. Are you suggesting here that they should not have treated members of the–the ‘terrorists’ as you call them, when they were bleeding and at their doorstep. They should have said ‘No go away’?”

Smith then said he found Katz’s comment “disgusting.”
