Did National Enquirer Go After Bezos Out of Trump Friendship?

Much of the leftist media has cast the National Enquirer piece that revealed Jeff Bezo’s affair with Lauren Sanchez as a hit job done out of the long term friendship between Donald Trump and David Jay Pecker, publisher of the National Enquirer.

Of course, the Enquirer had been pro-Trump throughout his 2016 campaign, running only loving stories of The Donald, even commenting positively about his hair. It ran one story about people styling their pets’ fur to resemble Trump’s signature style. “We can only imagine The Donald is unhappy that he didn’t cash in on this billion-dollar idea himself,” the article read.

The Enquirer also published several pieces that slammed Trump’s opponents. Of course, the tabloid had no trouble digging up dirt on Hillary Clinton.

According to its recent reporting, Clinton is suffering from frequent fainting spells due to blood clots in her brain—and possibly from brain cancer. She’s also, it reported, suffering from depression. And post-concussion syndrome. And alcoholism. And paranoia. And lung cancer. And the early stages of multiple sclerosis. One story said the “desperate and deteriorating 67-year-old won’t make it to the White House—because she’ll be dead in six months.” That was 11 months ago.

So yea, there’s no denying that the National Enquirer was doing everything it could to support Trump and tear down his enemies.

Enter Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post – a leftist rag that has pulled no punches when it comes to President Trump.
