Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

A good time to dig out the reservoir bottoms to increase capacity before the water returns
And this is relevant how?
Dont worry about that water problem, its not even an issue. Lets worry instead about the XL Keystone Pipeline – saith the Republican held Congress!

Democrats never plan for solutions. They create crises then offer “solutions”
Ok, lets forget the smelt, lets forget running water out to S.F. Bay and lets keep the water that we might get from this rain and hopeful a good snow fall in our reservoirs. And— Lets stop putting the farmers down about using what little water they can get for the crops we need to eat. Some farmers have already had to give up planting all their fields because they would not get enough water for more crops.
At one time plans was to harness river water that just runs off to the ocean water that never gets any were
Liberal fools in California have brought this on themselves. Such a simple solution, but with idiots like Brown running things, it’s no wonder. California;;You aint seen nothing yet
When you reward illegals you attract for illegals. In a state that has more than doubled it’s population since the last reservoir was built….common sense tells me, they don’t need and explosive growth in population now, especially law breakers. Just one man’s opinion.
