Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

Red herrings? Nah can’t believe anyone would do that! Lol ol
Maybe so. They’re doing that already – looking for work in states that CA taxes/lame-brain policies chased her businesses to. Maybe it would be better if it fell in the ocean after all?!
No backup plan? How about you all get on your knees and plead with your Creator to help you? Oh, but first you need to acknowledge that there is a Creator and stop replacing Him with government.
Lmao
Nestlé stole it all and is sucking every last drop out they personally responsible
How about an actual plan?
The effect if all the hot air the global warming/cooling/ changing, crowd has caused.
Don’t worry, we have a Republican chairing the committee that handles that! Oh wait, that’s they don’t believe in climate change so there is obviously no problem. And I have news for you conservative climate change denying idiots. If we are ever to stop the crisis we are in, we WILL need to p$#%&!@* new restrictive laws. It WILL affect the economy negatively. But to do nothing because it will “be too costly” will leave us all dead on a ruined planet. That will probably be pretty bad for the economy too, right?
Makes me glad I never moved to Cali. Can’t put that many people in an area never intended to hold that many people and not expect trouble, doesn’t take a liberal to figure that out
Sorry but California has tons of water available if only they would NOW build desalinization plants on their coastal areas. They knew this could happen over 10 years ago, and as such, these could be running as we speak! It’s called poor Governance Strategy!
