Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

Japan’s International Water Conference has many desalinization products that can be used to pump potable water to all places in CA; there is a plethora of ships in the Norfolk / Portsmouth, VA area. You can “un-mothball” these WW 2 ships to be berthed up / down CA’s coast
Don’t have to worry about bridge maintenance! Easier crossing! Moto-cross track?
Desalination!
So are they still stopping the water flow to the farms due to some little sardine that might get killed..

12% of California’s water goes to the population of the state. 48% is for environmental (wetlands)
40% goes to agriculture to feed America. Vegetables, fruit, nuts, meat, and dairy. We’ll just stop growing and feeding America. It’s cool. Eat Florida carrots and Avocado’s. Yuk. Start growing Michigan, you have water.
