Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.
MOVE TO PAGE 2:.

Stop letting bottled water companies steal all the water.
This is all engineered to control the people. They could have made water plants a long time ago.
God’s punishment for California’s immoral ways.
More people = more water consumption. Basic enough for you?
You give them too much credit. Best thing would be for it to just fall into the Pacific. 55 electoral seats would be up for grabs.
Because that’s completely unheard of on planet earth right?
Yeah and who controlled that body of govt responsible for writing legislation again? I know your dear leader in DC has made u accustomed to unilateral executive action, but there is an entire branch responsible for writing law.
Colorado too. And of course bring the same sorry politics that destroyed their state.
Good luck paying for that huge cost.
