Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.

Desalination plants!
Climate change is real and most of our society is real stupid.
Lets see here, stop watering the miles of golf courses, fancy lawns, the pretty shrubbery and all that other c**p that folks insist on growing in a place that is to damn hot for it to start with.
So, anyone think about something similar to an aqueduct system?
And they are taking most of the water from the Colorado river
😛
Thorium reactor and desalination plant. Problem solved.
There never was enough natural infrastructure for the ridiculous urbanization of the region. There is a limit to the whims of civilization. There have been cyclic droughts for millennia. (Dust Bowl etc.) The Native Americans know this, but their recorded history is not respected.
California has plenty of water to desalinate… they are the West Coast… use your solar cells and wind mills and raise taxes… that’s what you have voted in favor of for years…Pay up!
I don’t think most people will miss the fruit, nuts, flakes and fags or leftist democraps, both the same. Will miss the good people of Ca.
