Backfire: MSNBC Poll Finds Vast Majority of Respondents Support Public Carrying of Firearms

The results weren’t close, as the total number of respondents who believed people shouldn’t be able to publicly carry their firearms was barely 19,000.

Knowing MSNBC, however, they will likely dismiss the results of the poll as illegitimate and continue pursuing their irrational anti-gun agenda. On a related note, perhaps this clear support for gun rights amongst poll respondents explains why the network has seen such low ratings within the past few years: they are alienated by a channel that disparages their stance on self-defense:

The results as of June 28: 449K said “Yes! The Second Amendment guarantees it,” 19K said “No, it’s too dangerous,” and 18K said, “Only for self-defense.”

It would seem fair to combine responses 1 and 3, since those who carry guns in public do so for self-defense. That would put the divide between pro-concealed carry answers and anti-concealed carry answers at 556K to 19K.
