MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” has done it again with yet another cutting edge piece on Trump and his many administrative and executive blunders. Now that Joe and co-host Mika are beaus, it appears that Scarborough is attempting to woo her even more by going after Trump in an obvious attention-grabbing editorial.
His new theory is that Trump’s tough-guy remarks to the NATO partners about their inability or unwillingness to pay their share of the organization’s dues is unfair to the American people who have worked so hard to keep up with the global demand for more money. Scarborough believes that these public remarks only serve to curry favor with Vladimir Putin and Russia.
“Do not call them out,” Scarborough said of NATO allies during his MSNBC show Thursday. “The entire world is watching and most importantly, Vladimir Putin is watching. It seemed like yesterday was his love note to Vladimir Putin. It really did. By attacking the allies and then by not moving forward and saying that they were going to do what we’ve always done and defend any country that was attacked.”
Trump addressed NATO members in a speech at NATO headquarters in Brussels during his first foreign trip abroad. During his speech, the president scolded members of the alliance for not contributing their “fair share” to the world’s defense.
Scarborough, a former Florida Republican congressman, said he agreed that NATO members need to contribute, but he disagreed with the manner in which Trump addressed allies.
What is happening here is just a small hedging of the bets on Scarborough’s part so that he can still remain on the Right side of the issue while continuing to ingratiate himself to his new bride-to-be and her crazed, bloodthirsty audience. For all we know, when Mika and Joe are sharing intimate on-camera make-up tips in late-night whispered conversations in their bedchamber, the Establishment Republican may actually be providing her with inside information that proves his love to her by showing how his on-camera persona is all a ruse designed to pull in the ratings numbers and advertisers.
Whatever his reasons for disagreeing with Trump’s approach, I’m starting to think that we may see more of this behavior on Scarborough’s part, where he eventually goes full-on Liberal and changes the name of his show from “Morning Joe,” to “Morning Organic Herbal Chamomile.”

But you might be able to get those in the glow-in-the-dark type. At least then you could find what you’re looking for under the covers.
