It has been revealed that Mike Middleton, the man who was named as the interim president of the University of Missouri, worked as a political activist with the protesters who shoved his predecessor out of office.
Mike Middleton retired from teaching law school for 17 years, and is more than familiar with the tactics that can be used to foist unwanted administrators out of office. Or perhaps we should say “problematic” administrators. Middelton has a storied career working with the Office of Civil Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and was the Associate General Counsel of the EEOC’s trial division. Middleton has spent his career finding new ways to push the government to bend further and further backwards past the point of kindness to outright charity, which is not the purpose of any government.
