The outspoken Marine who posted two viral videos on social media posts criticizing military leaders for the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan received a final judgment in his case Friday.
Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. was given a letter of reprimand and ordered to forfeit $5,000 of pay for one month. He pled guilty to all six misdemeanor-level charges Thursday, including willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, dereliction in the performance of duties and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.
The judge noted in court Friday that he would have given a two-month forfeiture of pay had it not been for how Scheller was treated by military leaders.
