The Obama administration has directed the military to not allow personnel to say “Christmas”, in spite of the holiday’s status as a federally-recognized holiday.
The reason given by armed forces officials is that not everyone celebrates Christmas and that out of respect for them, military members should refer to Christmas celebrations simply as “holiday”-themed festivities.
This prohibition comes in the context of a wider push for political correctness in society in general and the military in particular, as evidenced by the recent reprimanding of Navy Chaplain Wes Modder for simply discussing religion, as chaplains are wont to do, with military personnel.
See how servicemen have reacted to not being allowed to say Christmas at the link below:

Went to “snoops”… THIS IS FALSE, Thank God!
The Muslim-in-Chief dictates! Blechhh!
if you can not say it it is your fault for allowing some one to stop you
Are you people that ignorant that you believe a lie simple as that
Not being able to say Merry Christmas just because someone tells you that you can’t is ridiculous. I told the clerk at a local Ross store “Merry Christmas” yesterday and he replied “I’m not allowed to say that”. Wow that is messed up Ross managers. What is going on???
This is America and we say Christmas,Mr. President.
Merry Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas!!!!!!! Oh and did I fail to mention Merry Christmas!!!!!
I’ve been there and I can truthfully say the troops I knew would say whatever they damn well pleased and woe be to him who tried to force words into their mouths.

Why is he not calling on other religions to respect a simple expression of Christianity by its believers instead of putting a gag order on everyone in the military? Dumba$$.
