The Obama administration has directed the military to not allow personnel to say “Christmas”, in spite of the holiday’s status as a federally-recognized holiday.
The reason given by armed forces officials is that not everyone celebrates Christmas and that out of respect for them, military members should refer to Christmas celebrations simply as “holiday”-themed festivities.
This prohibition comes in the context of a wider push for political correctness in society in general and the military in particular, as evidenced by the recent reprimanding of Navy Chaplain Wes Modder for simply discussing religion, as chaplains are wont to do, with military personnel.
See how servicemen have reacted to not being allowed to say Christmas at the link below:

Merry Christmas!
Sounds made up to me. Where is the proof?
I say freedom of speech guaranteed in the constitution trumps his ridiculous order.
I really can’t believe this man was elected president not once but twice. SMH
Not true/ check your resources.
Still called freedom of speech and as far as I’m aware, still one if our rights. I suspect an executive order prohibiting the consumption of ham is next.?
Or are we not allowed to say “ham”
From hence forth I shall refer to the president as “the ham”
I wonder how many red blooded Anericans will obey that stupid host jumpers order, excuse me” suggestion!
Fuk him in his neck Please someone deal with him
