The Obama administration has directed the military to not allow personnel to say “Christmas”, in spite of the holiday’s status as a federally-recognized holiday.
The reason given by armed forces officials is that not everyone celebrates Christmas and that out of respect for them, military members should refer to Christmas celebrations simply as “holiday”-themed festivities.
This prohibition comes in the context of a wider push for political correctness in society in general and the military in particular, as evidenced by the recent reprimanding of Navy Chaplain Wes Modder for simply discussing religion, as chaplains are wont to do, with military personnel.

Okay Time for me to Rant, 1. Freedom of Speech, 2 Freedom of Religion, 3. And Discrimination. Christmas was a religious Holiday since the 4th Century Way Way before it was a Federal Holiday. AND it is CHRISTMAS Because of Jesus Christ Birthday. I am Tired of this c**p taking Christ out of CHRISTmas. I don’t happy aging day on your Birthday. To be political correct if I did it is because you aging not Birthing. Sorry If I make you mad. But I am a believer of God. I know people that are not. My Friends that do not believe in the same God as I do, do not take offence of me saying Christmas. My God says if you deny him he will deny you at the kingdom of heaven. I don’t know about others but I think it is about time to step up and speak up. God Bless Our Country cause it really needs it.
