One Manhattan Beach Middle School has been teaching the Islamic Faith to its students, not just history, but actual tenets, such as: ‘The one true God, Allah’ and ‘All people must submit to Allah.’
Of course, teaching actual faith messages of any religion is prohibited, but for this California school, Islam is the exception, who has been instructing right out of the Quran.

*you’re and we’re….And no you are wrong. Religion of any kind has no place in public schools. America is not some protestant christian holy land where you get to force your opinion as fact. Freedom of religion means exactly that, and according to Thomas Jefferson it also means freedom from religion. This is a country of many faiths founded by athiests. Public schools recieve federal and state funding and are therefore government institutions and as such should be free from any and all religions.

well Allah is just a foreign translation for God so if you believe in God you believe in Allah. Just saying of the things to be pissed about. A translation of the same word shouldn’t be it.
Obama must have OKed it but don’t let anything Christian enter the area or the Star Of David. When does Islam enter our constitution ? Are the Christians paying their salary? Time to step in there and get rid of this Muslim trash. GD

It’s a social studies class and the social studies covers current events. Christianity has been taught in schools in the Americas long before there was a United States and Christianity is sill being taught in public schools. Shakespeare has a lot of referenced to Christianity and so does a lot of art.
On cannot teach subjects like art, social studies, history without referencing Christianity and other religions.
So what do the parents, who send their kids to this school, feel about this?
