One Manhattan Beach Middle School has been teaching the Islamic Faith to its students, not just history, but actual tenets, such as: ‘The one true God, Allah’ and ‘All people must submit to Allah.’
Of course, teaching actual faith messages of any religion is prohibited, but for this California school, Islam is the exception, who has been instructing right out of the Quran.

this should not happen, freedom of speech is being streached too far, someone needs to talk to the principle of this school, and set him straight
Unless the entire student body is of the Islamic faith, this should not be allowed. If I had a Christian child in that school…there would be a lawsuit posthaste..

Oh please, if it was Christianity, how many people would be up in arms? I was taught the histories and basics behind Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity in middle school. The idea was to understand the conflicting views behind some of the worlds bloodiest conflicts and wars not to cram any one religion down our throats. I understand the reasons behind separation of church and state but when teaching history or current events it is nearly impossible to understand these conflicts without talking about religious beliefs. Did the school go to far? Probably. I think the uproar is less about teaching religion, and more about teaching about Islam.
Why Everything but Christianity allowed in school, one day we will all find out who.is right or wrong. Sad thing is it will.be too late
Get rid of Islam already!
