Michael More Demands the Democrats Close Down the Country Over Trump

Michael Moore is successful enough in Hollywood to make a nuisance out of himself. His rantings are often incoherent, and it is troubling that anyone takes him seriously.

His instance that the Democratic Party declare a “national emergency” is a great example of the sort of ridiculous statements we’ve come to expect from this mouthpiece of the far left. In case you are wonder, he does make an attempt to define what such a declaration would look like.

“The Democratic leadership in the House and Senate needs to bring a halt to all business being done in the name of this potential felony suspect, Donald J. Trump. No bill he supports, no Supreme Court nominee he has named, can be decided while he is under a criminal investigation.”

None of this is within the power of the Democratic leadership to do since they are in the minority in both houses. Nor is it even practical. Nor does it even make any sense. Clearly, in his rage over the policies of President Trump, Moore has been brought down to the level of demanding actions that would have dire consequences, even if they could be accomplished.

He further makes the following allegation and call to action.

“His presidency has no legitimacy until the FBI – and an independent investigative committee — discovers the truth. Fellow citizens, demand the Democrats cease all business.”

These are such stupid comments, that it’s difficult to know how to respond. He is advocating the effective shut down of the federal government without consideration for what that entails. He declares the president guilty of an alleged offense that so far has no evidence of having occurred. He conveniently ignores that fact that if his proposed actions had been policy beginning in 1992, very little would ever have happened during the Clinton administration.

And he also ignores the fact it’s very possible that the real crime here is that elements of the Obama administration might well have used intelligence assets to gather information on Mr. Trump’s team as they planned his administration during the transition period — confidential information gathered by eavesdropping that allegedly was distributed to Democratic operatives. If that turns out to be true, should Mr. Moore’s nutty policy be applied retroactively against all actions taken by the Obama regime?

Of course, he completely ignores potentially treasonous activities by Mrs. Clinton in her well-documented mishandling of classified materials, as well as the culture of corruption that she has instituted at every position she has held including at the state department.

Mr. Moore’s primary usefulness is to serve as an example of an extreme application of the First Amendment, and the importance of the citizens being informed so they can discard free-speech gone irresponsible and wild as is the case with Moore.
